The Kybalion sets out the seven Hermetic principles, in the exposition that made them known to the modern world. Published anonymously in Chicago in 1908, under the signature of “Three Initiates”, it is attributed to William Walker Atkinson.
The volume follows the order of the original, under its French titles: La philosophie hermétique, Les sept principes hermétiques, Transmutation mentale, Le tout, L’univers mental, Le paradoxe divin, « le tout » en tout, Plans de correspondance, Vibration, Polarité, Rythme, Causation, Genre, Genre mental, Axiomes hermétiques. It opens with a note on the present edition.
This translation is new: it is made from the 1908 English alone, borrowing nothing from existing French translations. It is the fourth title in the Éditions Pongh! collection, after Hermes Trismegistus, Caillet’s Mental Treatment and the Bhagavad Gita.
