How this book came to be

In the silence of my room, far from the turmoil of the outside world, I sat down with my eyes closed, seeking refuge in the immensity of my inner being. It was not a quest toward some uncharted place, but a rediscovery of what had always been there, deep within me.

For a long time I had sought to shape my consciousness, to make it more open, as though I had to work hard to reach that state. And yet, in a moment of grace, I understood that this openness was the very nature of my being. It was not a state to be attained after years of practice. It was a fundamental truth to be recognised.

This realisation marked the end of one chapter of my life, dominated by outward searching, and the beginning of another, centred on inner exploration.

Everything I have realised through this discovery, I owe in large part to my children and to Sophie, my life partner. It is in everyday life, in shared laughter and moments of silence, that I found the keys to this ancient wisdom.
